RISC OS Filetypes database... lost

Posted by John Hoare on 11:05, 9/1/2003 | , ,

Well done to riscos.org, who brought everyone this first before any other portal. Even though the press release is dated 1st January. Ahem.

RISC OS Ltd, who back in October requested information on all RISC OS filetypes registered by developers, has accidentally deleted all their emails on the subject whilst compiling it ready for release. So email them again with the details requested (which are listed in the press release), or email them for the first time if you never knew about it. The plan is to build up a database of filetypes, which will be part of the RISC OS Select scheme.

We'll leave it to drobe to extract the urine, I think.

Unregistered user Who gives a toss who got what article when? For gods sakes all you flippinnews portals do is try and kick spots off each other like little children. Bloody stoppit and get on with what you're supposed to be here for rather than this stupid mooing about other portals' articles.

Unregistered user I suppose the question is why would RISCOS Ltd be putting a press release on their website on January 1st? And not csaa it, or email it to any news site? Maybe it was an experiment to see who would find it first?

That is odd. Mind you, it is on their front page as well. Their stuff usually goes to csaa too...

Unregistered user There's no content as to which RISC OS news portal is best: which is the only one currently supporting anonymous comments? Actually, which is the only one whose user registration system actually works? (At least when I tried it last, anyway.)
