Wakefield Show 2005

Posted by Andrew Duffell on 16:56, 1/1/2005 | , , , , ,

thornespark04WROCC have contacted us about the 10th Wakefield Show which will take place over the weekend of 21-22 May 2005. This is widely regarded as the premier show in the RISC OS Calender and is the only two day event.
As usual the show will be in the Thornes Park Athletics Stadium in Wakefield and can be accessed easily by trains to Wakefield Westgate station due to the free minibus service operating to the venue.
The usual presentations will take place in the show theatre, and although unconfirmed we expect the usual suspects will be making presentations such as Castle, ROL and A6.The show will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 10:30 am to 3:30 pm on Sunday with prices set at £5 for advance tickets (available from mid March) and £6 on the day. Under 6's are free (Must be accompanied by an Adult). Tickets are only valid for one of the days.
They will be running our usual Charity Stall, once again raising money for Wakefield Hospice. More details on what they'll be able to have on the charity stall, will be announced nearer the time, due to the issue with EU laws on recycling old hardware.
As usual we will have coverage of the show on The Icon Bar.
