Browser problems
Now that development on the RISC OS browser front seems to be starting up again, we need to help the browser programmers identify bugs in their browsers so that we can all end up with a browser that can handle any site.
Of course many of the problems caused are due to ignorant web authors or the horrendous code produced by most "WYSIWYG" website generation programs, but a lot of the problems are still just down to the browser. For example, when testing this site on Oregano and Browse I discovered that the blue curvy graphic above the 'contents' column (on the left of this text) doesn't line up. This is due to bugs in the browsers' table rendering code.
To add a site to this list, simply fill in the details on the add site page.

Rather ropey JavaScript on this retailer's site makes Fresco (and some versions of Netscape) cry. Oregano is fine though, as they demonstrate in the screenshots on their site. Submitted by Alasdair Bailey at: 23:12, 21/05/2000 |

One can get as far as entering Account No and PIN here - that's a lot further than with any other RISC OS browser! However, after this, clicking on logon prduces a "save box" with a file called xcgi. Examining this as a text file, it is an apology file in Javascript, saying that for some reason, the Browser can't access the site. Submitted by Carl Pfeiffer at: 21:56, 22/05/2000 |

The Java on this site doesn't work, using Acorn Java 0.76. It doesn't work with Browse either, which points to the Java being later than 1.0.2.
Because Oregano doesn't display the loading messages it is difficult to say where the error actually occurs.
