My Dad's about to get a new laser printer for his A7000+, but he wants to keep the existing colour inkjet as well (HP 670c I think). Is there a way to have both printers connected to the computer at the same time so that you can pick which one to use when printing something? |

Probably the easiest way would be to buy a switch-box. I'm not sure how much they are - probably between 10 and 20 ukp. |

Probably the easiest way would be to buy a switch-box. I'm not sure how much they are - probably between 10 and 20 ukp. I'll second that. Think about the connectors you want. F'r instance, if they're all printer-end type, you will need two expensive printer-printer cables. All PC-end type means only one cheap PC-PC cable. Make sure you get male/female right too. It will also depend on whether you might ever want to use the box the other way round, to share a single printer between two computers - this is difficult if your box has 1 printer-type in and 2 PC-type out. I went for all 3 the same as on the back of a PC and haven't looked back. |
