Well, according to this spam I've just got:

Subject: Advertising on Elite.Acornarcade.com

I work for [company name removed - don't want to give them a free advert smile ], a leading broker of online advertising, dealing with many thousands of independent webmasters worldwide. We currently have a client in the Telecom industry for whom we are looking to acquire advertising from quality websites.

We would be interested in purchasing advertising in the form of a text-based link on your site. To reduce unnecessary admin and hassle, we prefer to pay a fixed annual upfront fee for such advertisements. Once the ad has been placed, payment can be made quickly by PayPal or an alternative method if you choose.

If you are interested, please get back to me with your rates etc. I look forward to hearing from you.

I thought Simon Challands was maintaining elite.acornarcade.com? And why haven't I been sent one of those for ironlord.acornarcade.com?

Yeah, I've seen those spams before for my other domains, though - although I don't see them very often any more, since my spam filter has long since been told what to do.

Maintaining? Not done anything on it for quite a while now (there's still one ship left to do on the Elite-A section, which I might do for completeness some day).

I don't get any email for the site; I used to, but stopped after it turned into a spam deluge.

Nice that "quality == design unchanged from 1996".
