Hi! Having a clear out and wondered if anyone would be interested in any of these:

* A3000 external Cumana CD-ROM drive (SCSI?) with CD caddies and external podule (~5kg)
* A3000 MIDI interface (mini-podule thing in an external podule with one mini-podule free)
* Risc PC x86 card, in box with software
* Half a box of old magazines - incomplete mix of Archimedes world, Acorn User, Archive etc.

Don't want to send to landfill, so they're free to a good home. However, they're heavy so I would ask for a contribution to postage, or to meet at a mutually convenient time and location (I'm thinking Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Sevenoaks, or somewhere in between).

I think the magazines would be impractical to post, but if you wanted a specific issue I'd be happy to check if I have it.

If it's really just half a box (I'm thinking bulk A4 paper reams but that could be a misplaced assumption), I could probably take them off your hands to put to use later in the year. I can easily collect from Bristol or Keynsham.

usernameAT... (That mail service is due to be withdrawn shortly anyway.)

Ah, sorry, should have been more specific - it's more like half a moving box, so probably more like 2 or 3 A4 ream boxes. If I remember correctly, there's a full Archimedes World binder (12 issues?) in there too.

The magazines are in storage in Sevenoaks at the moment; I'll be able to give you a more accurate measurement when I'm back there in a couple of weeks!

Sad to report that the magazines were thrown away last month in my absence. Other items still available.

I'd be interested in the A3000 stuff if it's still available please.

They certainly are! Sorry for the delay - just wanted a chance to check they were still working.

A bit more info: the CD drive has seen better days (bits are loose - it was rescued from a school), but it seems to be in good working order - it loaded the CDs I tried, except for one scratched one. I don't have any instructions for it, but in RO3 the CD drive appears in the icon bar as long as the drive's plugged in and turned on when the machine boots. I have 4 CD caddies for it.

I don't have a midi keyboard to test the midi interface, but it registers its module when plugged in, so should be fine. Good condition, have manual with SWIs etc.

Drop me a message through http://radiac.net/contact/ and I'll get back to you by e-mail (avoid the spam harvesters).
Let me know whereabouts you are, so we can decide whether it would it be easiest for us to meet in a car park, or for me to post it to you.

Ah - am just looking round now for a MIDI interface for a Risc PC and was hoping the A3000 one would be ok but it looks like it's gone. Any ideas where to pick one up from?

The A3000 uses 'Mini'Podules so no use in a RiscPC.

We have new and S/H MIDI Podules in stock.

Including:
http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/individual/newprodpages/prodinfo.php?prodcode=MOR-SHMIDI

Next time I update our website[1] I'll add a S/H MIDIMax on it. At a better price than the one above!
