Hello, everyone.

I realise this may be a complete shot in the dark, but does anyone remember Iron Lord by Ubisoft for the Acorn Archimedes (and several other platforms)? I've been looking for the soundtrack on and off for several years now, with no success. The Archimedes port has a different soundtrack to the other platforms, who's songs are available quite readily. However I have had no success finding the Archimedes tracks at all.
Does anyone, by any chance, have the Archimedes Iron Lord soundtrack and would be willing to share?

Thank you.

It didn't use tracker mods which may be why you've had little success.

It has a Voice module (Voices) which has a few instruments in it and a support module (Support) which plays the music.

You'd need to load both modules and then use the following command to play each track in turn, recording them to MP3 or similar:

IronTuneOn 1
...
IronTuneOn 9

As someone who has had no experience with RISC OS since Iron Lord was new, how would I do that?

If you have a physical Arc and copy of IronLord, insert the floppy.
If you have an ADF floppy image load ADFFS and launch the floppy image.

Press F12 to go to the command prompt and enter the following commands:
ADFS
DIR ADFS::0.$.!IronLord
RMLoad Voices
RMLoad Support
IronTuneOn 1

I genuinely cannot thank you enough. This has been something of a long standing quest for me for the last 6-7 years, and thanks to you I've finally done it. Thank you so much! This probably sounds really weird, but it was very important to me.

I'd be more than happy to share the mp3s for nostalgia's sake, if you'd like. Thank you again smile

Glad to have helped.

You should create a webpage with comparisons of the various versions, along with MP3's etc.

Who holds the rights to the Arc version now? I see you can download it from that page.

Just to note if anyone spots this and can fix - the SSI on that site has stopped working (so instead of including nav.shtml it's printing an HTML comment saying include nav.shtml). Hope all's well with all.
