Hi
I have found several Acorn Archimedes emulators which allow me to boot up Risc OS and then open games by inserting a .ADF floppy image and running the program files.
I was wondering if there is a way of starting any one of the emulators with a command / start up switch which auto boots a particular disk image / ADF file. I'd like to be able to load my favourite Acorn games from a front end on my "MAME" arcade cabinet.
Any suggestions welcome!

This is precisely what ADFFS aims to do. Have a look at my advise in this post. If you combine the basic concept of that into the main !Boot sequence we can get ADFFS to boot an ADF/JFD of your choice.
If you need any assistance, feel free to continue the conversation already going on JASPP as a front-end to ADFFS is high on my list - you may be able to contribute by the sound of it.
If you need any extensions added to ADFFS to achieve your goal, I'm happy to implement. We'll need to add something for ADF's as they don't have the ID's that let ADFFS know which boot script to use - this was raised last week and I've suggested one option but am open to discussion on the subject.
Whilst you're there, you might want to grab all the officially released games. I have a few more almost ready for release which will go public with the next release of ADFFS - which is imminent.
