Hello all!
I've just signed up after discovering the forum on google.
My dad worked at Acorn between 84-95 and I've found a little stash in the attic. From what I can instantly identify (they have been packed away in the attic for god knows how many years) there is a BBC Micro, Archimedes 440 and couple of other models which I'm going to assume are a bit later from the look of them (more rounded edges etc).
I'm hoping to get them running and I'm certain there are some games somewhere, but I don't really know where to get started. I don't have any experience with them besides playing Flossy the Frog, so any pointers would be much appreciated. smile
Thanks,
Imogen

Hello!

Probably the best place to start, particularly for BBCs and fixing up hardware, is over on the StarDot forums - http://stardot.org.uk/forums/index.php

For more RISC OS expertise then the ROOL forum is the place to be - https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/

Both of those are for more active than Iconbar these days :-(

Also you don't mention where you are based. You might find a user group meeting nearby where you can get help - http://www.riscository.com/calendar/

Bryan.

Well the next ROUGOL meeting on 16th May is within reach and relevant:

Disclaimer - I'm the organiser big smile

Other than that get along to the Centre for Computing History, they've lots of experience getting old kit working, and it's a great place to visit!
