Unregistered user Let's assume I have a ViewFinder card, so that most resolutions etc are available.

I want to run 1280 x 1024. What size monitor is advisable for this?

What about 1600 x 1280?

On a 17", I found that 1024 x 768 was a touch big, whilst 1280 x 1024 was a touch too small! I currently have a 14" fishbowl and am looking to replace it with a nice, flat big monitor cool

I will be doing *lots* of DTP and Web design.

Any advice appreciated, as are any monitor recommendations!

Cheers

1600 x 1200 seems workable, especially for graphics, on this 17", though a 19" might be better.

How about 1152 x 864, then? smile That's inbetween those two here on my computer, and seems quite nice.

ATB,
Matthew
