Unregistered user Can someone give a brief rundown on the state of printing with RISC OS? It's been a long time since I paid any attention since my old printer has served me well, but I just got a new HP laserJet.

From distant memory I realised I needed a printer definition file, found the appropriate one at the riscos.com site. But my Printer manager is out of date - 1.54. What's the latest version that's compatible with RO 3.7? Why isn't 1.64 available for download from riscos.com?

I'm vaguely aware of printer related things from Photodesk ltd... are these solely for getting the best out of fancy injets? Why are they needed? Have the cc turbodriver things been made redundant yet?

What has ROL promised on the the printing front for future versions of RO?

Unregistered user Thanx for that, but it turns out that of all the pdfs on the ROL website, the one for _my_ printer is corrupt! Geez. Arrggh!

Anyone like to drag the HP>LJ>LJ1100 file into their copy of Printers to confirm?

Unregistered user I'm looking to replace my ageing Epson stylus printer with one of their more modern ones for my A7000. Any suggestions? - looking to use it for basic 4 colour printing @ 720dpi (and hopefully 1440dpi).
