well, if acorn.co.uk still belongs to the "legal registrant", then presumably somebody inherited it when Acorn split up. Found this on the NIC.UK Registration Host: Domain Name: ACORN.CO.UK Registered For: Element 14 Inc Record last updated on 13-Apr-2000 by nominet@nominet.org.uk. |

Curious that.
Element 14 are now owned by American Comms firm Broadcom, but (as is stated by Castle) the Acorn name and logo are licensed from Pace. Maybe if we keep quiet about this it will all go away ---- God I'm confused. Nice one Guy - thanks !) [Edited by ams at 17:37, 19/3/2001]

well, if acorn.co.uk still belongs to the "legal registrant", then presumably somebody inherited it when Acorn split up. The problem being that no-one seems to have bothered to change DNS records, as the domain doesn't point anywhere - it looks very much like it's slipped through the cracks through the various changes, and so no-one's actually looking after that domain. |
