Unregistered user Presuming you mean IRC channels (as in the topic), there always used to be #acorn and #argonet on IRCnet; but it's been a long time since I showed my face in there so they may no longer exist.

I believe #riscos was 'created' recently as well, also on IRCnet IIRC.

They do still exist, - although I'm not sure how busy #argonet is these days.

#riscos is (supposedly) intended for RISC OS related issues and discussion, but when there's none of those going on, just about anything goes. (see http://www.riscos.cjb.net for more info).

#riscos was intended to be a place where people could ask "silly" or "obvious" questions where people on #acorn might not be bothered to help them. Every #riscos helper is supposed to be as helpful as possible if anyone has a problem. Anyway, the website says it all.

John

#acorn tends to be about almost anything, ranging from Linux, RISC OS, other-operating-systems, through large arguments, to discussions of films and lager. smile
