P.S. Have you taken any more of London recently. I hear they're building a tower by Tower bridge. There's also news of a huge building to be built in Birmingham. Both are to be in excess of Canary Warf - any news/photos/better place to discuss this? |

No I mean separate twin towers. There are already several towers at Canary Warf. The HSBC tower is almost as high as the pointed one. |

Yeah, well, I was lonely, they gave me the eye... If the pigs weren't quite so dumb, they'd have realised that they could walk away from the gate (of their actually very large enclosure, including a shed type affair bigger than my flat) and wandered off up the mountains. Which is what the goats did in reverse to steal the pig food. |

Thanks, yeah I think they'v ebeen scaled down (the plans) following Sept.11th and the IRA Birmingham bomb. There'll be possibly a 630ft one and a 50storey one (originally planned as high as 1000ft but being revised now). There's some construction going on juding by the Midland's Today backdrop but this could be something else (judging by a conversation I was listening to on the train yesterday ) I've got no pictures of Brum as it stands though. |

Every time I go past docklands in London there's a new tower Makes the skyline look a bit more like a 'city' and not just a sprawl though, which is nice I guess |

I was down in London last week to look at the new buildings and it was pretty impressive. I managed to see the beginnings of the new London Bridge Tower: http://www.skyscrapers.com/english/worldmap/building/0.9/101995/index.html
It's about 100 feet at the moment but there seems to be three separate bases on which they're going to build upon presumably linking up near the top.
Also went down to canary Wharf and as well as been amazed at the main building there I was also bowled over by the constant construction going on including the two towers we just mentioned. Apparently and judging by the artists impression there they won't be as tall as the main building at Canary Wharf at least not the masonary part but at the tip they'll be over 900ft !!
The London Bridge tower is just by the 'City Hall' which you may have seen on the weekend news where Ken Livinstone lives It's going to be over 1000ft allegedly

WOT alert!
There are currently three towers at canary wharf. Along with One Canada Sq, there are also HSBC HeadQuarters and 25 Canada Sq. They are all similar in height.
See: http://www.monju.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/canaryw3towers.jpg
This http://www.skyscrapers.com/english/file/0.9/144688/dim6/index.html does look very cool though. |

Yes but they're constructing several more buildings - I don't know if they'll be significantly high but the two residential towers are definitely to be built and they well underway with an artist's impression on the boarding fencing off the site. They're also on skyscrapers.com if you want a look.
Why are there 2 bulls facing the entrance to the underground is what I want to know |
