I hope Microdigital don't sue you for saying that when it's a blatent mistruth.

Everybody knows that it's the fault of the little pixies, who have invaded Saltaire and are demanding that David Atkins teaches them how to dance, thus preventing further development of the Omega.

Oh, I can imagine them now, David helping them to put on their little pixie dancing hats and handing the mouthorgan to David Prosser for he provides the music. There they go -- wheee! wheee! David #1 waves his baton and the pixies leap into the air on cue. Their well rehearsed jig is now almost perfect, and will be ready for their first performance in four to six weeks time...

I really don't know what I'm writing now. I've gone slightly mad. I hate nine o clock lectures.

Unregistered user actually, three different US companies have all filed competing patents on using pixies to replace software daemons - despite this, the dance of the pixies is currently a w3c recommendation.

I hope you're not suggesting that David Atkins has defected to Jeremy Fisher's .net initiative?

I would not suggest anything about anybody. I would rather certain companies finished making my computer (yes I have ordered one) rather than trying to persue legal action against me!

You should try teaching C++ to non programmers.

9am lectures in leeds (?). Ah, that brings back some fond memories of trudging through Hyde Park at 8:57 in the cold, winter sun.

<Phew!>

Unregistered user hello helpdesk, the mouse isn't working

- what computer are you using?

a Microdigital Omega.

- the mouse isn't working because it's not there, sir. In fact, I think you'll find that the whole computer is missing. hahaha.

uh, thanks, I wondered why I could see the back of my desk.

- ah, Friday morning and the Nimda worm struck, so I gave the helldesk a hand. just working it out of my system, to coin a phrase.

Jake - Only trouble I ever had in that part of the world was on a sunny afternoon in the park. Of course, that's forgetting all the 12 year olds who are incessantly breaking into cars. Little s***es.

What's annoying is when they go skateboarding outside your office window when you're trying to complete work for a deadline. Grrrrr.

Children should ... be put in glass tanks and left to evolve, or something.

You mean like the Borg children from Star Trek the next generation?

Was BF Skinner a Borg?

I'm not sure if we should let them leave the country. They might run off with all our money and computers and never come back! smile
Oh dear, was that a comment not in favour of MicroDigital? You'll have upset David Atkins now. He'll have the solicitors/pixies after you! Well he would if he knew who you were anyway grin

I can't stand litle kids full stop. Babies are the worst. They just stare at you, defecate on your sofa, or try to eat things that plainly shouldn't be eaten, such as rusks. And they don't understand puns.
Children should either stay in their mothers until they are at least 18, or be put in glass tanks and left to evolve, or something.

You mean like the Borg children from Star Trek the next generation? wink Hmm, I'm sure the everpresent european court of human rights would have something to say about that.

By the way, Monkeyson, are you going to RISCOS2001?

Didn't seem thay dangerous to me! You should try Middlesbrough monkey

Incidentally, MD have failed to achieve the simple task of submitting their financial reports to Companies House on time. This might explain the difficulty they are having in delivering something more complicated than paper to more than one person.

Maybe the pixies nicked 'em grin
