Hi,

I recently collected my A5000 from my parents house and fired it up. Whilst working perfectly the first time, it is now having problems.

The problems started when the Acorn Monitor died on the second switch-on. I have a PC monitor and managed to get the A5000 to run, albeit with Mode15 games in letterbox mode. However now the A5000 seems to have gone totally senile. It keeps thinking it is 1994 (?) and forgets all settings, such as monitor type, making me have to force hard resets & blindly telling it to change to VGA monitor type. This is a big pain, and has caused it to end up back in the loft (under duress but with orders from my wife!)

Can anyone help me here - is it as simple as a battery backup dieing?

Thanks very much

unhappy

Cheers,

I've managed to get Squirrel emulator running well on my PC, so I may backup a load of my stuff to diskimages and use the PC emulator instead.

If anyone else can help, drop me a line. Cheers
