Unregistered user Can you run a yamaha8424 CD-RW drive which is SCSI 3 on a powerTEC SCSI 2 card, or would the card need to be upgraded to a SCSI 3 version.

Unregistered user Should work fine. I use Castle Storm and Yamaha 4x4x16. Works fine.

I don't think there will be any speed issues at 8x. Check the transfer rates, first though.
