We know who Stuart Tyrrell Developments' valentine is this year. They've announced a special Valentine's offer with RISCOS Ltd. According to STD "The package marries these desirable upgrades with a pre-installed hard drive to produce an easy-to-fit ready-to-use solution for the RiscPC and A7000. There is no need to re-format your existing hard drive or work from backups - just plug in and go!"
The relationship is not just a "one night stand" with the Select scheme keeping you up to date if you choose to use the 50UKP off your first year subscription that comes as a voucher with the package.
The contents of this sweet package are:
- Fully loaded Unipod (32-bit USB, Network and IDE expansion)
- RISC OS Adjust 4.39 ROMs
- RISC OS Adjust install CD
- 80GB Hard drive, with pre-installed RISC OS Adjust boot sequence etc
- Full installation instructions
- UKP50 Voucher off RISC OS Select Subscription
The Valentine's offer is available from STD for 290UKP inc VAT and carriage, and is available for one month only between the 14th February and 15th March inclusive. At a rough estimate this could save over 160UKP as opposed to buying the elements of the offer separately.

The only problem I see with this offer is that it seems to be aimed at people who don't have any of the featured items yet. If you have Adjust, or a Unipod then it really isn't worth the money as far as I can see. What does anyone else think? |

Yeh, I have a NIC, USB & Adjust. I think they or someone is missing a trick here. I have a Risc PC that is getting a bit long in the tooth. So what I would like is a hardware lift. Say new PSU (or at least a new quiet fan :-( ) and a new hard drive. This would extend it's life and keep me in the market. |
